What is the Silver & Gold GridIron Classic?
It is an innovative game concept that will allow prospects from Division I-A programs to participate in a contest against a small school roster comprised of Division I-AA, Division II and other players. It gives many non-bowl game seniors and smaller school players a final game to impress NFL teams.
How Does A Player Get Invited To Play In The Silver & Gold GridIron Classic?
There are many factors considered during the selection process including but not limited to: checking with the NFL to verify who they are interested in seeing, players stats and past honors he may have received, reviewing game films, speaking to coaches/teammates and more. After all of the information is compiled, the selection committee votes and sends out formal invites to each the individual player.
What is the Date and Time For This Year’s Silver & Gold GridIron Classic?
The inaugural Silver & Gold GridIron Classic will be played on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. Pre-game starts at 1:00 p.m. Kickoff time will be 2:30 p.m. eastern time.
How is the Silver & Gold GridIron Classic Date Determined?
The game will be played annually on the Saturday before Christmas except when Christmas falls on a Sunday.
Who Plays In the Silver & Gold GridIron Classic?
Prospects from Division I-A, Division I-AA, Division II and other divisions of college football are invited to come and participate in the Silver & Gold GridIron Classic.

Tickets can be purchased on-line and at the Georgia Dome Box Office.

Tickets will go on sale October 1, 2008.
